FSX final ILS Lesson,I am being driven mad!!!!!!!!

I am currently trying to learn the ILS/approach/landing systems, and when using the 'lesson' I fly over Olimpia VOR turn to 022 and strainght away get the message 'Seeing as your distracted I am going to end the lesson' and it happens EVERY TIME!!!

I know it sounds dumb but is there a guide or a walkthrough that can help me with this?

this is what I have done so please let me know where I am going wrong....

Firstly once the controls areanded over to me, I turn the autopiolet back on with height set to 1800 and heading set to 343 (which will get me to fly directly over Olympia), once I have reached Olympia I change the heading to 022 (as instructed) and tthe lesson ends, I have set the Olympia NAV1 to the Olympia frequency to listen to ensure I am still on course, but this still doesnt seem to help,

Please any better or clearer instructions, i.e am I turning too early too late, in the wrong direction, or should I be using manual controls?

You sure it's not 220 (Two Two Zero)? 022 is kind of a weird heading to be vectored to.

Hi Borojimmy,

Sorry for your trouble. It sounds like you are doing everything right up to that last heading and I agree with Foxtrot that I have never heard ATC assign a heading that did not end in 0 ( zero ) or 5. Perhaps you were assigned to 220 because if you were assigned 020 and were flying 022, that's very close to it and ATC and your instructor won't usually correct for a 2 degree difference.

It can be hard to hear and remember the right ATC instructions sometimes. Try again and see if you are hearing the numbers correctly. Good luck.

Also, before the lesson -press the "D" key to reset the heading. Works like the "B" key for the altimiter except it resets the heading.
