    Default Disappearing AI Concorde

    I guess there is no definitive answer about why this happens with the Murchinson AI Concorde. It only seems to happen at some airports and not others. At KMIA, she lands and parks perfectly. At EGLL she disappears as soon as she touches the runway. too bad as it's a pretty good model of the classic bird. If anyone discovers anything new, please let me know. I guess Mr. Murchinson isn't around anymore as there is no way to contact him.

    Yeah, I experience the same problem with this AI model. Most of the times the Concorde just vanishes into thin air at touchdown. I give up many years ago, seems to be no solution. Guess, Concorde never wish to continue its existence... not even in Flight sim's. :-)

    Hi,

    Sorry for picking up this old thread. I managed to solve the problem of the Murchinson AI Concorde disappearing in FS9 on landing by modifying the "contact points" section the aircraft.cfg file to read:

    [contact_points]
    static_pitch = 1.3
    static_cg_height = 17
    max_number_of_points = 6
    point.0 = 1, 4.7243, 0, -18.6862, 1242.896, 0, 1.9, 40, 0.6, 2.5, 0.9, 6.5, 6.5, 0, 270, 275
    point.1 = 1, -54.1568, -13, -17.6924, 1587.896, 1, 1.9, 0, 1, 2.5, 0.9, 9, 9, 2, 270, 275
    point.2 = 1, -54.1775, 13, -17.6911, 1587.896, 2, 1.9, 0, 1, 2.5, 0.9, 9.4, 9.4, 3, 270, 275
    point.3 = 2, -54.167, -42, -7, 1274.433, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 5, 0, 0
    point.4 = 2, -54.167, 42, -7, 1274.433, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 6, 0, 0
    point.5 = 2, -116.667, 0, -4, 1574.803, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 9, 0, 0
    gear_system_type=0

    Landing in EGLL, LFPG ang KJFK is now OK, at least on my system.

    Don't know if it works for you, maybe you'll give it a try.

    Cheers
