Default ATIS/AWOS in FS2002

Is there any way to change the voice of the ATIS in FS2002? Is doesn't sound realistic enough, seeing as though the ATIS I'm used to sounds a lot like the voice from the NWS's automated reports. I know that small airports just have someone be recorded reading the information and then play pack that recording, but at CLE, it's a computer.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-02-02 AT 02:29AM (EDT)[p]I am currently working on modifying the ASOS message voice that is in FS2002. Here is a preview of just the main ASOS_MESSAGE.wav file. This is then mixed with all the ohter wavs so it can vary depending on WX cond. I'm in the process of adding all the numbers, letters, and other reports to it.

Speaking of the voices used by alot of ATIS which sounds like the weather radios, does anyone know what program can do this? Is there somerthing or some website where I can find samples or perhaps an actual text2speech thing which sounds like NWS voices?

The AWOS/ASOS in real life is usually a mix of a canned tape recording that inserts the numbers. You get the local notams tacked on to the end, so lots of times you get two different voices.

Most of the ATIS I have heard is a human being that rattles off the numbers and notams. At Albany International whoever is handling clearance delivery does the ATIS so the voice changes evey so often

It sure seems realistic to me. FS must use the real-life digitized voice for AWOS, because that sounds exactly the same to me. The ATIS recordings are done randomly in one of the stock ATC voices. As for expecting it sound exactly like the ATIS at one specific airport I think you're out of luck unless you create a new voice pack.
