Thread: Cockpit experience in Public?

  1. #1

    Default Cockpit experience in Public?

Is anybody aware of any full-motion simulators open to the public in the USA that aren't crazy expensive? or atleast any good museums that would have a static cockpit (No simulator) like the one at Tucson Pima Air Museum?

    --USA
    --Inexpensive(-$200)
    --Open to public

Static cockpit, you can go to the Boeing Tour Center for the 727 cockpit.

Everett, Washington, very close to Paine Field. Matter of fact, if you choose to go on the tour, you can actually get a look at the factory at Paine Field.

There were static cockpit simulators on the hangar deck of the USS Midway, when I was there just after it opened. That's in San Diego, on the waterfront.

I saw full motion simulators at the "Air And Space Museum" at Dulles International Airport, outside Washington, DC. This Museum is fairly new and is in addition to the A&S Museum in downtown DC.

I think you had to pay extra to use the simulators and I don't know what cockpits they represented. SPOFF
