    Default video help

Hi. I have dl'd a msfs video depicting the Dambuster mission of WWII, but it won't show. It is in AVI format, and all I get are swirling colors in the media player. Can anyone tell me how to get it so I can watch the vid? Thanks.

If you will provide a link that download, one of us can get it and see if we have the same issue.

Hi David. Well, I am unsure what happened but I replied with a link the other day, and when I clicked submit, a little window opened saying something about the post being checked, but I think it should have shown by now. I will try this again. Hope it works ok this time.

I just downloaded it and unzipped it - the resulting AVI file was 58,387 KB in size.

It played just fine in Windows Media player for me.

I only mentioned the size so you could check to see if your is the same. If not, perhaps you got a corrupted download.

    Hope that might help.

Hello again. My dl was also 58,387 KB in size, and when I did try to run it, I did get sound, but no video. Someone told me of a different movie player and that made it play ok. I am just curious as to why my Windows Media Player would not play the vid properly. Anyway, thanks for your time David. Rick

It "might" have something to do with the version of Windows Media Player you have.

Mine is Version 10. If your is lower, perhaps updating it would be wise.
