Real atc chatter

I posted this here as it probably applies to all FS versions, so.....

I just did a quick flight from Vegas to Reno, and I was running ATC in the background from liveatc.net.

Granted, I cannot respond to the real ATC, but it sounded much more lifelike, in that there was alot of chatter going on. Added that much more realism to my sim!

I know I can try one of those sites whereby you talk to real controllers, but I'm not familiar with all the lingo yet, so this is good enough for me. Some airports aren't covered by liveatc, but luckily for me, both Vegas and Reno were.

I'm sure many of you probably did this already,and knew about it, but I was late to the party, lol.

Well, I knew LiveATC was there, I never actually used it during any of my flights. However, I've been listening to United channel 9 long enough to be able to pick up what was going on. Strangely enough, on one of my flights back in November, I was able to mouth the words that were coming out of the pilots mouth when we were issued instructions. Then there was an instance when I was laughing at one of the pilots, who was apparently issued the wrong frequency for the fourth time within a 35-minute period. Passengers sitting next to me probably thought I was weird....or they assumed I was really out of it since I hadn't eaten anything all day.
