One step at a time........ Let's see if we can get FSNav working properly first.

Click on my name beside my image and send me a PM (Personal Message) with your normal e-mail address.

I have a couple of other ideas and it will be easier to work through them via e-mail exchanges.

My keyboard has an "F-Lock" key that allows another (useless) set of functions to be mapped to the top row of keys. My F9 key won't open FSNav either unless I have this F-Lock key enabled. For that matter none of my F1 thru F12 keys do what you'd expect unless F-Lock is on. Check to see if you have a similar button on your keyboard and enable it if necessary.

Just look for a button on your keyboard, mine's on the upper right corner of the keyboard labled "F Lock", yours may be something different. Press it once and then try your F9 key. I'm not saying you definitely have an F Lock button, most keyboards don't, I'm just saying mine does and it behaves like you describe yours does if I don't press that button once every time I boot up the computer, so there's a possibility you have the same problem. If you don't see one you probably don't have one.
