Default Video Card upgrade (Geforce GTX 260 vs Radeon 5830)

Just upgraded CPU and motherboard to i7 930 with Asus P6t se, now the video card is next... Which card is recommmend the Radeon 5830 has better specs than GTX 260, but on FSX which card performs better, prices are within $20.. any advice would be appreciated....

Well, the 5830 would give you Eyefinity.

Neither will compliment that i7 930 cpu...

    You want a Radeon 5870

    OR

    nvidia GTX275/285/470/480

The gtx260 is outdated and the radeon 5830 is weak too. I doubt it would beat a 260 in fsx tests... other fps games maybe

Considering anything better will cost $100-$150 more, I would be happy with the GTX 260. I don't have that good a video card and have no issues with FSX performance.

5830s are a ripoff because while their price is close to a 5850 their performance isn't. Either spend the extra $20-$30 for a 5850 or get a 5770.
