Thread: Fsx out of memory problem

  1. Exclamation Fsx out of memory problem

    Hello all,
I am having a very frustrating problem with my FSX setup at the moment. I just need somone to point me in the right direction as I have tried many things to get rid of this error. No matter where I fly or what settings I use in the display properties of FSX I get the 'Out of memory' error.

I am currently running FSX SP2 on a Windows 7 32 Bit Version. I have 4GB of OCZ Gold memory running at 9-9-9-20 at 1.7V which is what the manufactuer has recommended. I have all of the airport addons from Aerosoft installed (Madrid, Innsbruck X, Ibiza X etc etc) and UK2000 EGLL and EGKK addon as well. I am currently using Level D 767 X from Flight one. I also have Traffic X and Active Sky X.

My installation is on a seprate hard drive to the system.

Please could someone shed some light to the problem.

P.S I have set the system to manage the the paging file. Do I need to configue this manually?

    Thank you in advanve.

It does not apply to Windows 7 64 bit editions. You said you are running a 32 bit edition, which it does apply to.

To be honest that is not an option for me at the moment. I have certain music software that I use on a daily basis that will not work under 64 bit conditions.

Try that above fix then. More than likely it will work...

Have you tried choosing another o/s, in the programs properties, to use for the executable? Maybe it will work.
