Hi All
Obviously FS9 textures can be modified to display in FSX but, how is it done. There are a few FS9 textures for Lockheed L188 Electra that I would love to use in FSX. Any advise or help appreciated

Hi phil and welcome to the forum.
Have you tried using the mdl file and the texture from FS9 in the FSX Electra? Change the cfg file to use the mdl and the texture of your craft. (See the example) You probably will have to use the prop from the fsx textures and change the name to the one in your texture folder or change the alpha channel. There really is a bit more to it than one post.

Do a little research on alpha channels and aircraft modification searching the Aircraft Customization Forum.
I have ported a number of fs9 aircraft wthout much modification and then other's that required a lot.
Good luck. Hope that helps.

John,
Firstly, thanks for the warm welcome and for takin the time to read and respond to my post.
Have been able to get the aircraft to show, however, the fuselage textures ar all black, so From your reply, I think it might be the alpha channels that I need to look at.
Once again, thanks
regards
Phil
