Default Fs Skyworld/ fs meteo compatibility?

Does anyone know if FSSkyworld 2k2 is compatible with fsmeteo? I love fsmeteo, but some cooler clouds and contrails would be a real nice touch. I downloaded the complete package, just looking for some feedback prior to installation. Thanks. Chuck, CLEOPS

The two are compatible. All FSSky World does is put alternate types of clouds into FS.

Excellent! That's what I thought. Do you like them? The clouds? And do you use fsmeteo as well? And one more thing, do you select "random" for the best in realism? Thanks again, Chuck, CLEOPS

LAST EDITED ON May-26-02 AT 08:00PM (EDT)[p]I enjoy both. I don't use Meteo during my MP sessions, but I use it whenever I'm flyin' offline. FSSky World has a few different cloud packs, and a couple of 'em are very similiar. I'd recommend getting both. Sky World is free, so it's no problem getting it. Meteo's trial version lasts for 20 minutes, so you don't really have much time to experiment with it. BTW, The Sky World Group is working on another cloud pack.

Quick note about FSSky World clouds : IMHO, the clouds seem to have more definition to them.

Roger that , and thanks for the input! I already forked out the cash for fsmeteo, and in my opinion, it was well spent. It works great if you have DSL! What I really want, and doesn't seem to be anywhere out there, are "towering thunderheads" with tops at fl350 or better. They are so beautiful in real life, just keep your distance! Chuck, CLEOPS

Meteo's a good grab for me b/c I don't like havin' to update the weather after I've traveled an hour or so. I've got cable, so it's nice to not have to mess with that stuff. Plus you get the winds aloft report too. Makes planning a little easier for fuel purposes. Granted fuel is free in FS, but I like to simulate the costs for that little added touch of realism.

Perfect! Realism's my main goal here too. Thanks for your input, I gotta finish up here at work and get home so I can try out SkyWorld. Ciao! Chuck, CLEOPS
