Does The Nimitz AI Carrier Work In FSX?

Will the AI carrier programs (uss_nimitz_ike_version2.zip) and the AI Carriers
(aicarrier2.zip) by Lamont Clark work in Windows 7?

I get a message saying Java is not installed,
but the latest 64bit version of Java is installed and operating properly.

There's no add-on section in the FSX toolbar.
Without that, there's no way to display the carriers.

I have FSX Gold.

When I had Windows XP, it installed and ran perfectly so I know how to install and use it.

My FSX is on my D drive and the AI Carrier program installed automatically on the C drive.
Installing it on the D drive with FSX made no difference.

I did a search and see that others have had problems, but can find no clear solution.

Works fine for me --just make sure you download both the 32 and 64 bit java and you should have no problem.

Try this it worked for my guys:

A windows system file (mysteriously modified, maybe by a windows auto-update) that can be found under C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. it's the hosts file.

Open it with notepad and add the following line if not there:
127.0.0.1 localhost after the following line. :: 1 localhost

Save it to your desktop ( window won't allow you too save back in it original place. Then navigate back to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc and override the existing file with the modified one from your desktop.
