Brilliant!I wish I could set the configuration file so I can use it.
Awesome, i'm going to have to investigate this scenery tool for myself!

Holy cow! I'd say that's about as real as it gets! I've considered downloading and installing photoreal terrain for various areas, but I'm always left wondering (beforehand): does that make everything pretty-much flat? Or do buildings still show up in 3D? For example, I've seen really large files available for photoreal mesh for the SoCal area, but I've always hesitated because I want real terminal buildings (and surrounding scenery) rather than a 'mat'.
She doesn't even go here! ;-)
Holy cow dude, that's some sharp scenery. Nice pics of it.
The pilot is bound only by his mind and his machine. We must expand the mind before we expand the machine, and by expanding the mind, we may expand the machine. Our mind is being expanded by the sim. It is not a game.
Thanks everybody. I appreciate it
And to American (Tyler, am I right?), would you like for me to send you the FSEarthTiles.ini files that I use to compile scenery? I have one for making fully-terrain scenery (which means scenery with no water/lakes in them), and another for developing island scenery (like the one shown here). I'll be glad to PM you copies of each.
And to the last asker, only autogen buildings/trees are cut out. airport sceneries, custom sceneries, and the tall buildings/stadiums/whatever else still shows up like normal. It helps frames a ton too, because there is no autogen to work out.D Since the program i use (fs earth tiles) is freeware, i would definitely take a look into it.
Also, if you have a semi-fast computer and a fast internet connection, check this out as well: tileproxy. It's the same thing, except it compiles scenery on the go for you instead of pre-making it.![]()
