Thread: DH World Tour 2010 Leg 1b

  1. Default DH World Tour 2010 Leg 1b

Ok, I had to restart as I had to reinstall FSX, the good news is that it appears to have fixed the problem (Yea!!!) Sorry for having so many screencaps, I was testing a lot of stuff trying to make sure the same bug wasn't going to reappear.

Leg 1 was to be KGEV (hope airport) to KCPK, but I made a in flight choice to go to KORF (Norfolk Int) as the weather had decayed and I wanted a bigger runway and more lights. Due to a odd bug or me not knowing how to turn on the defrost, I had to do a fully Instrumental landing. which I did flawlessly!

As a note, I am using a payware Mooney with a Aussie Paintjob I found and enjoyed.

    The flightplan

    To be continued
The propeller is just a big fan in the front of the plane to keep the pilot cool. Want proof? Make it stop; then watch the pilot break out into a sweat.

Jikes, hit GPS autopilot, and I clear MT. Jefferson by about, ooo, 100ft

    Changing pants

Ok, now lets head to the coast!

Yes, I take too many setting sun shots!

At this point, I saw some flashes of thunderclouds, so I made a change of course so I would approch norfolk at 50 so I would be lined up with their runway.

    Almost there!

    On approach,

Suddenly, my windows went like this. No idea why, good thing I have dials!

    perfecto!

Sorry for so many screen caps!

Thanks, this was my one of my first ILS landings I have done at night, so I am as happy as a clam.

Shots of awesomeness DH. Nice sunset.
The pilot is bound only by his mind and his machine. We must expand the mind before we expand the machine, and by expanding the mind, we may expand the machine. Our mind is being expanded by the sim. It is not a game.
