Red Brake Warning Below Taskbar

I noticed now that I'm using Windows 7 that the red parking brake and brake warnings in the lower left corner are below the taskbar and not visible. On my previous XP PC the warnings were above the taskbar. Is there any way to move these up on my new PC so they are visible above the taskbar?

Are you in Windowed mode?? If so auto-hide the taskbar.

Yes, in window mode. I'll try auto-hide, but I didnt have to do this with xp.
