    Default Saitek

Anyone thinking of buying Saitek gear, forget it. Stick with CH. Their tech support is very lacking and the hardware is impossible for anyone with less than a 150 IQ or the same amount of patience to deal with it is useless. $800+ down the drain. CH all the way.

No offense to those who love Saitek, but it's just not for me.

Mark, Im sorry your having problems with it... is it the multi throttle setup? or are you having problems programming the other buttons?

I love mine, and after a brief learning curve, it was quite easy, (granted, i don't have but one throttle stack), to program it once i got the gist of the interface of the profiler....

Again, im sorry its giving you fits....

    Hey Ed,

I'll get the hang of it, it's just frustrating. I spent 2 hours getting everything setup just right for a twin prop, then after restarting FSX all of my settings were back to default (4 times by the way). In my defense, I have about 9 irons (and a putter) in the fire at the moment and my patience is at an all time low. Saitek is some awesome equipment, I guess I'm just frustrated with the learning curve and that after getting it all set up for a simple twin prop (default King) when I restart FSX, all the settings I spent so much time working on were no longer set. I take back every negative thing I said about Saitek, as it's just me who has issues. If, however, I can't ever get it working, I'll go back to complaining :-) Now when it comes to working with all four of my throttle quadrants, I can't guarantee I won't start complaining again!! Don't even know what I'll do with 4 throttle quads? I'll update you after I have more time to get the kinks worked out. Keep the blue side up brother.

    Hey Mark,

We all share your frustration with getting all this great hardware to be of some use. No one here seems to have an answer for you though.

Maybe you should try this forum: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/forumdisplay.php?f=6 . Just stopped in breifly to have a look and they might be more in tune with answers to your situation.

Why don't you give 'um a shout and see what happens? Who knows,,,could be good!

    Cheers,

    Hiya Mark,
If you're using the Saitek software for setup have you deleted all of the axis assignments in FSX? This got me a couple of times. Do you have FSUIPC4 installed? If so have you deleted the assignments there as well?
