Thread: Panel Shuts down after a few minutes

Default Panel Shuts down after a few minutes

I was sitting on the runway, preparing to take off in an A380 when all the displays when black. Like if one turned off the battery and/or Avionics switch. I tried turning off the battery and Avionics switch, neither had any effect on the aircraft, its as if those switches didn't exist! When flying the DH-106 Comet this does not occur. This also happened when getting ready to take off in a Piper Super Cub 180. I have not done anything with either of these aircraft, in terms of tinkering.

Would anyone have any idea what might be going on?

Does this happened, with digital or with analog gauges?

Just the digital gauges. Hmmm I flew from Chicago to Milimar using a B377 (C-97) and the flight went without a hitch. After landing, I selected the A-380 and let it run until the panel quit. After the panel quit, I also noted that the GPS was out too. Howver, the sound was still there and responded when increasing or decreasing the throttle. Really strange. I am tempted to remove all the aircraft to a temporary folder along with the gauges and reload FS2000. That is one of the things I like about FS2000, nothing takes very long and you can't see through the panel! Earlier last night, I went to fsx and was going to fly a CANADAIR (Bombardier) CRJ100/200. I could see through the panel and the digital displays are literally transparent! Whoever made the panel doesn't realise that a black background is see through in FS. oops, don't get me started on the biggest ripoff ever spawned my MSFS. I am hoping that eventually I will be able to get my fs9 up and running. In the meantime, I will fly FS2000. I really like it when all the switches that should function do.

    PROBLEM SOLVED.

I solved it the easy way. I moved all the aircraft and gauges to temporary folders, uninstalled FS2000, and reinstalled. I am now going to put one aircraft back at a time with the corresponding gauges and see what happens. LOL

Okay, this is an add-on edit. I have completely reinstalled FS2000 and not having any problems. The way FS2000 is put together, I think sometimes it doesn't take much to upset the apple cart, so to speak. LOL
