dcs black shark; rocket launching problem

Hello guys/ girls

Ive had DCS black shark since Christmas this year, and im having problems getting the rockets to work. I can get the cannon working all the time, guided and everything.

But everytime i try to get the rockts to fire, i run into trouble. ive selected my stations, turned my shaval tv on, and lined up the target. I hit fire and nothing happens. The only time ive seen my rockets go is when i release them via emergency jettison, but it doesnt have guided on when i do so.

What am i doing wrong? If someone can go through the steps of getting the rockets to fire, i would be very thankful.

BTW i have armed my weapons and i do have ammo

Hi weengo. Your problem is that the laser range finder tells your targeting computer that you are not in range. I forget the range of the rockets but I think it is less than 2.5 km.

What you can do is switch the targeting computer from automatic to manual. The switch is close to where you adjust brightness and contrast of the Skhval.

In manual mode you'll also be able to launch Vikhr's outside their max auto range. That's useful for hitting SAMS. The Vikhr can I believe hit from as far as 8 km - The auto limit is less.

I cant seem to find the manual/auto targeting switch, ive found the shaval tv brightness nob, Could you get a screenshot and show me where it is?

Ahh thanks Zorg, the silly joystick is always in the way of the buttons i need

BTW your dcs looks great, what plugin you got going on?

I know about the joystick. Trackir helps though as you can just lean to the side.

Here you can see the mods I use. I also use enb series bloom mod 2.1 (which adds a yellow tint - it's special but I like it) - All the mods can be downloaded at lockonfiles.com. EDIT: A few of the files I found elsewhere I think..

Grr, i must not be doing it right could someone maybe do a tutorial or screenshot of all the switch positions that are relating to rockets?

EDIT: Oh I think I know what the problem is : You have to hold down the pickle (fire) button 1 second before the rocket fires.
