Removing top focus from ATC window

Is there a way to remove or edit how ATC window (when popped up) takes focus? This way I can use the keys I assigned to certain functions while ATC window is open, WHICH are also the commands for the number selection in the ATC window?

Do you mean you want to use other aircraft and view controls while the ATC window is open? You can just click anywhere outside the ATC window, and that deactivates it while still leaving it visible.

Ah, did not know that. At the same time I try not to use the mouse while flying.

I like to use the pay version of fsuipc. It allows you to set keystrokes or joy buttons for the ATC menu options which helps to keep from having the ATC window get focus.
