Could some of our geniuses out there tell me what was the font used on Laker aircraft. I think the best one to ask would be Dave (super1-11) Maltby, but he is not the easiest to contact.... help anyone?

freddielaker2,
Just wondering if you still need the Laker Airlines company titles(and logo). If so I'll try to help if I can you out, though might be after the weekend before I have time to test scale it though. I'll see how I get on. I'll also have a look around for the font itself just in case.
Best regards,

Maybe you can borrow it from here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laker_Airways

Right on the money Stringbean,
That was my first port of call. I had it tagged and bagged before your vector (which was much appreciated). The image at that address is good but it might not be of high definition to be used as a texture itself. I had been actually thinking of seeing if I might be able to locate the font(or one similar) but after a few hours of searching I decided to give it a shot the old fashioned way, and do it another way, which has resulted in a large file(about 24MB) which I intend to reduce without hopefullyh loosing much quality. Do I hear a Skytrain in the making?
Thanks again for the lead Stringbean.
Best Regards
Skyknight
Hmmm....24MB?
I saved this image...
cropped out everything except "Laker", resized to 1000 pixels wide, cleaned up the image and saved it to a 500kb .bmp
To each his own, I guess.

Hey StringBean,
Hmmm....24MB?
Yes I know, something to behold. I actuallyfeel like such a duche
. Turns out that I had saved the file as a .EPS, Got around to redoing it just before turning in last night. Resized it slightly and saved it as a .PSD, its now down to around to around 1.75MB, still leaving a massive amount (literally) of room for rescaling. Your way is by far the more efficient and in all likelihood a probably more effective method overall.
Many Thanks again,
Skyknight
