    Default CLS 747 Issue

    Hi all,

I've just got the CLS 747 and it looks brilliant. The only problem is, I CANT FLY IT! This is quite annoying and involves the control surfaces. The plane won't take off. I think it goes way too slow on take off. I set the flaps to 15 and it still won't take off. on attempting to land, my pane nosedives. At N1 the plane struggles to hold itself up, the problem involves only pitch, not roll and is incredibly insensitive. Has anyone got this problem too? I'd really appreciate any advice or help you guys can give thanks.

Make sure your trim is set to +4 or above.

Out of interest, what is your N1 set at?

I had an aircraft a while back that (on initial start-up) had N1 at 51%

That could be (?) part of the problem.

I usually set my N1 to 96% which produces sufficient power (all other factors being equal) without going into dangerous "red" territory

What does the CLS manual say about N1???????????

My N1 is at a staggering 225 knots! Can this be changed in cockpit or does it involve tweaking the aircraft cfg? It probably wouldn't help anyway since i forgot to mention that the plane won't lift on takeoff higher than 1 degrees. On landing the effect is worsened by the naturally low landing speed and the plane just nosedives since it can't stay up! I've heard of people mentioning that the plane had a control surface defect regardless of them publishing two service packs and the problem still persists. I don't know if this is it though?

Ah good to hear your airborne. Its a good AC. I changed out the FMC though. I was really curious about their new 767 but they can't tell me if it will work with only SP1.

yeah it works, but all the LCD's are completely black and none of the instruments work. downloaded SP2 and it works fine now, except for when i have AP on, it sometimes starts tilting violently and nose dives into the ground. also on landing it starts tilting from side to side. just be aware of this

Actually I bought it anyway not too long after my post. Runs fine on SP1. Never had any issues with it except the fuel tank problem which they issued an easy fix prior to the service pack.
