    Default Ooops!! @#$@#$

Well I went and did it. I totally hosed myself.
Had a 8gb stick that had all my favorite payware planes, sceneries, programs, passwords etc. Was transfering music files from my pc to my wifes and inadvertently put it on there, and the deleted it and of course deleted it from her trashbin.

What really sucks is that I had the email addresses I attached things that I purchased in the password document. 8 years worth of files gone, never to be seen again.
Sure, I can get my favorite freeware scenery and stuff here and Avsim, but that payware stuff like Level D 767, PMDG B1900, PMD737-600 - 900 series, Eaglesoft Citation, Flight 1 ATR, All the Fly Tampa, Imagine Simulation and Active Sky 6.5 etc will cost me a fortune to get back.

Maybe this is the flight sim gods telling me I should call it quits.

    Im just sick!

    Hi,

All your Active Sky stuff can be replaced for free!

As long as those things are installed on your FS computer you can still use them for now.
    Thanks,

    Jim

    Cool.

Ya, as long as I dont experience a major problem, I should be ok. It has been acting funny lately (not ha ha funny) though. Its all good for right now.

I've seen utilities out there to recover deleted files, even from memory stick.

If you haven't written anything to the drive since deleting the files, you should be able to recover them. Recuva is one program that I have used before.

You can get all your lost order numbers and passwords at Flight1.com, just give them your email address that you used at the time you purchased, and you're all set...

    I know the frustration!

Thanks Mav. Am Looking forward to flying that B1 low level.

And thank you Loki for that info on Recuva. I will be checking that out later this afternoon when I get home from work.

I use several different utilities to recover lost, deleted files, Linux and dos based. Be careful how you go about recovering, above all take care to ground off yourself so that no static electricy is present.

    Good luck,

Recently I lost a external disc with some payware add-ons. Fortunately on my mail I hace copies of all orders, so I open the mails and re download all of the software, is always good to have a online back up of the orders. I buy on fspilotshop and simmarket, on my account I was able to re-download my previously orders.
