Default How to repair corrupt airport menu?

My airport menu has become corrupted, apparently by having installed an add-on scenery in the past. When I go to the airport menu for Brazil I find an entry "There is only one state- AMAZONAS"... and the city of Manaus. I cannot bring up the list of other states anymore. The add-on didn't work out so I dumped it but the menu seems to have been corrupted. Where is this list of airports and their locations stored in FSX? Can I edit it, or delete it so that it regenerates on the following startup in an un-corrupted version? -Randall Daniel

Did you remove the add on scenery from your scenery library?

Yes I removed it from the scenery library, but apparently it had edited the menu during installation (otherwise how could the menu still be changed with the addon gone?) Is there a way to restore the airport menu to its previous configuration? RD

Never mind, I found the culprit in the addon scenery folder, without that file the menu reverts to normal. Its been so long since I was at this place I forgot it. Thanks anyway, RD

The airports index file contains ALL active airports, (derived from all active sceneries).

The Go To Airports dialog listing
will always display ALL available active scenery's airports,
    unless you've filtered them.

It sounds like what you'd done
was apply a filter to that airport selection dialog.

That setting is retained in your fsx.CFG file's [FACILITIES] section,
hence "the menu still be changed with the addon gone?"

    Clicking the "Clear Filter" button,
(lower right hand corner of Go To Airports dialog),
would give you back the full airports listing,
    (without any deleting/deactivating/reinstalling).
