  1. Default Is this computer ok for fsx?

Hi, I am buying a new compter at the moment and I just wondered if anyone has had experience with the spec's and wether it will run well on fsx.

    here are the spec's:

    2.7 ghz prossesor
    750 gb hard drive
ATI Radeon HD 4350 512mb graphics card
    4gb of ram

Anything opinions or experiences will be geatly apriciated .

Without seeing the full system specs, that looks like a pretty weak system for FSX. Is that an AMD processor running at 2.7GHz?. If so and combined with a low end video card like the 4350, you would only be able to run FSX at its lowest settings. Suggest you head over to the hardware forum where you will find many posts on what is required to run FSX at a satisfactory level.

At least get a 64 bit operating system such as Windows 7 Prof or Windows XP Prof.

Noell is right. It would run FSX at low settings and if you are thinking of addons, then it's really only good for FS9.

If you can o/c the CPU, you may get some joy, but the GPU is weak too.

OK for the internet and wordprocessing but pretty useless for anyserious gaming i'm afraid.

As you can see from my signature, I have a mediocre system. However, it runs FSX fine if I accept some limitations. I use only enough autogen to keep it interesting, keep simple clouds, fly mostly GA aircraft, and accept that a airliner at JFK is going to run with "jerky" movement. I'm reasonably pleased because my system matches what I want to do. If you want to fly add-on big iron to and from major cities, take others advice and get a more powerful system.
