Thread: 737-700 Southwest Airlines Repaints (b737_700.zip)

Default 737-700 Southwest Airlines Repaints (b737_700.zip)

There is a very decent freeware 737-700 found on this website
(file name: b737_700.zip) for flight simulator 2004. This file includes several Southwest Airlines liveries, but it is missing some special liveries such as "lone star one" and a couple others. I think it would be a very good idea to repaint this aircraft to include all of the Southwest Airlines liveries, but I am not very experienced in repainting aircraft so I was wondering if anybody here would be up to this challenge. There is a paint kit included in this aircraft so I do not suspect it would be very difficult. I hope that someone decides to try this request.

Why can't you use more well known, better, and also freeware models like POSKY? There's a bigger variety in paints available.

To be honest, I have tried POSKY and some other models, but they did not meet my expectations. I know that many people would disagree with me but, that is my personal opinion. The main reason I wanted these repaints to be accomplished is so that there will be a wider variety of paints available for this aircraft.

Maybe so, but it never hurts to have a good variety for any version of any plane. I feel pretty fortunate that we even have freeware to begin with. That seems to be the big attractor in our hobby.

I agree....so many of the Southwest planes are not available on a good freeware(ie: POSKY). 'Florida One' is not available nor is 'Nevada One' with the proper paint scheme, 'Tinkerbell', 'Kidds kids', Colleen Barrett (in blue), 'Summer of Love-Cirque du Soleil', 'Green Plane', 'Flight to Fight Hunger', 'The Finals', or a proper Charles Taylor (with the logo).
