Ok well after talking with a lot of you i have decided to upgrade to a 64bit op sys. only thing is shoud i go with win 7 64bit or vista 64bit? I have heard mixed things about both. My main concern is having issues with trying to install things on eather sys. this is what will be installed as regaurds to fsx

    wilco 777
    fspassenger x
    FScene - TotalPack

will i have issues reloading all this on ether op sys? thanks. Planning on buying with in a few hours

    WIN 7

Vista is garbage... Win7 is vista fixed.

  3. Default Win 7 64 Bit Home Premium

Just got a Dell Studio XPS 8000 with Win 7 Home Premium, and it works fine for FSX - much better performance than my Win XP system. I have the Intel i5 CPU, and Win 7 seems to be much better at using all four CPU cores for FSX. I don't think you can actually get Vista any more without a lot of trouble - and Win 7 has many improvements over Vista - it has been called Vista SP3. If you are moving from Win XP, however, you will need to do a fresh install of Win 7 - you can't update in place. My FSX program and scenery files have installed fine - my only incompatibility so far is with EZ Walk Camera software.
