Thread: How do you completely uninstall FS2004 and nHancer?

  1. Default How do you completely uninstall FS2004 and nHancer?

Since no one knows how to fix my anti-aliasing issue, how would you unintall FS2004 and nHnacer completley? Everytime I uninstall FS2004, even by manually deleteing the FS2004 folder, all of the settings remain unchanged when I reinstall it. Same with nHancer.

I know none of you recommend this, but I want this AA issue solved, and so far, no one knows the answer, here, nor any other flight sim forums.

Download something called Your Uninstaller 2008 (think you need to pay for it). Uninstall FS9 using that, it'll delete the junk and registry files too. Then download Ccleaner (free) and clean the computer using that. Then go to the (username)/app data/roaming/microsoft folder and delete the FS9 folder if it's still there.

Do the same as above with Nhancer. Then go to the C:/program data folder and delete the Nhancer folder if it's still there.

Think that would make you good to go.

    I use this.

Uses the in built uninstaller and then goes that little bit further. Checks the registry for left over components and enables you to delete those leftover registry components.

I use it ! It's free ! It works and searches for the usual garbage left behind.

Thank you very much, that worked perfectly.

However, my AA issue is still present...

    I give up.

    LtCarman,

When you uninstalled nhancer did you make sure that everything had been removed?

Sometime ago I had a problem with nhancer and I got to the stage when I thought the only solution was to throw my pc out. After uninstalling nhancer, do a search to make sure everything has been removed. Select another version of nhancer and install this, after you run nhancer for the first time, check to see if there is more than one Flight simulator setting listed in the drop down, if there is, then delete all but one of these. You can always then alter the settings to suit you.

    I hope this helps.
