Default Graphics Help Required

LAST EDITED ON May-12-02 AT 04:58PM (EDT)[p]I have a GeForce 2 32MB MX440. I had installed Flightsim 2002 pro on my Fathers 800mhz Packard Bell system with a TNT 2 Pro, and was able to see some graphics in the waters, mainly moving graphis (not the water effects when I land or hover with a chopper above water) These "dancing" water effects are possible one of the best additions I have ever seen. Recently I built a new system Running windows XP Pro, with 512MB DDR Ram with this GeFroce card, the System runs at 1.43 ghz. Even with all sliders maxed and leaving the sim for 1 hour to idle on its own I cannot get these "dancing" water textures to come up. All I get is the bog standard still water with no texture or depth that you got in the likes of Flightsim 98. I have updated to teh latest drives for my card anc computer, but to no avail. I tested this on an install of windows 98 on the same machine but to no avail. Please help, If you have a solution please email it to me at MCGWorld@hotmail.com
Any and all help is greatly appriciated

As for your post, this is a busy forum! others are posting and replying to posts, that's why it can seem as if it has moved!

*deep sigh* I have done, i've tried with all settings maxed out and It doesent want to know, for those who have a GeForce 2, would you mind posting your Settings for the Ge2, so I can set mine up accordingly, might just get it fixed.

May I suggest turning down the attitude a bit and you may get a more positive response.

Messages don't just get shoved to the bottom. New messages and replies to other messages get shoved to the top.
No one is moving your post intentionally.

The 'deepsigh' could give people the wrong impression. What might be innocent to you may come accrosss as arrogant to others.

Just a little friendly advice?

okay thank you, but reflections doesent seem to be working either, and i apologise for the apparent tone, it was not meant to be like that.

I read a post earlier that said MMX cards do not support the reflective textures. I presume these animated water textures etc...... fall into the same category.

Let me see if I can find the post.

Can't find the post but you may wanna check this out before you start to lose your head over a problem that cannot be solved in the current config.

If I find any info I'll let you know.
