YEAH, AMERICAN! GO, MAN, GO! That'll teach the other guy for butting in to shave precious minutes off his schedule!
As far as the passengers: heck, if I was one, I'd be thrilled! I'd have the plane audio on Channel 9 so fast it'd make you dizzy. I'd love to hear the verbal exchange between planes on this flight!
