    Default S 64 E Skycrane

Hi, I'm a newbie for the forums. Just wondering if anyone knows if there's freeware for the S64E skycrane for FS9. Only stuff I found was for fs98.

    Menemeth,

Good call! I was going to suggest that. I looked there and Hovercontrol doesn't appear to have one.

These are textures only but they reference the model which is available at Hovercontrol.com

Hope that is what you are seeking.

Roughly a year ago, they did some shuffling around on their site. So here's the entire packet with Hunter AAF (KSVN) included. I put it in a ClickTeam installer, so just direct it to x:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\...Enjoy!

    Thanks for the package !!

Just installed it - was bit dissapointed in the AI models however as two of them have their payloads extended and that looks really weird on takeoff and landings. The water carrier does not have the issue of course.

Are you aware of any update to the AI part which might have removed the payloads and just displays the aircraft?

In any case, when used with the Heli Traffic 2009 payware package from Flight1 - which makes the AI choppers take off and land vertically - they are absolutely wonderful to watch.

    Just an update -

For AI use, I found a better combination - one which does not have the "payloads" displaying (except the logging one, which does display at night as it's load is keyed to the lights).

At Simviation I found: AI Helicopters 104: "Three Light - One Heavy" by Holger Sandmann. aiheli_4.zip is the filename.

This package includes the revisions necessary to use with Jordan Moore's Erickson S64E Aircrane (from Hovercontrol.com).

Both packages say they were created for FS2002 but they work just fine in FS2004.

If used in the daytime they work well. I use them for "static" display as well as for AI choppers. The look especially good with the Heli Traffic 2009 enhancement.

    @Opa:

I got the package you recommended from Simviation, and will look it over. Thanks for the heads-up!

In the past couple of days, we re-did the blade blurs to the Erickson, and also made it where you can switch from the Pilot to the Co-Pilot's seat, from within your flight. Let me know if you're interested in it.

Yes, I would like to take a look at that.

You can reach me at opaflightsimaddict at verizon dot net

Another problem I found in the package via Rapidshare was the use of shockwave light effects - which I do not have.
