Dylan. When I click on the website you have, I just get an order page. Nothing on what you have in mind.

The systems are listed on the left hand side.

Avoid buying ready made PC's. Some do not allow the luxury of overclocking which most simmers consider a 'given'. I looked briefly at the $1200 system and they were listing a 9600GT card as part of it, for that price you have to be kidding.

My advice is to read the numerous posts here and on other flight sim websites and come up with a list of what you would like to see in your PC. Get the components and, if you can't do it yourself, get someone to build it for you. Trust me, you'll save yourself a shed load of money and end up with exactly what you want.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

I went to the page and checked out some of the systems and for what you would get, the prices are way too high. Please look to a different compamy if you want a system built for you.
    Thanks,

    Jim

I think those are Aussie Dollars listed there so knock about 10% off for US Dollars at current rates.

That said, I couldn't agree more with what ppgstf said. The i7 920 system would be a starting point but unless overclocked your FSX performance will be less than it could be and you are paying a premium for it. The other systems, under 2k, FSX performance would be lower generally speaking.

Those prices are indeed expensive for Australia. Dylan, I suggest you go to the Whirlpool forums, it's an Australian forum dedicated to computers and internet/telephony. Take a look at the PC Suggestions Wiki to get an idea of what you should be looking for and the prices you should be paying. Also, if you do a search on the forums you will find others requesting assistance on buying an FSX machine. I'm in Melbourne so I can't give any advice on what shops to use in Brisbane, but again you should just take a look on the forums. And of course if you have any questions you can ask on the forums once you've registered. I go by the name MrMaestro so you can PM (or Whim as they call it on Whirlpool) me if you want some help.

Dylan, gotta agree with Jim and Paxx on this, these prices are way over the top for what they are offering.Take a look at the system specs in my sig.
That was built for just over $1500.00 USD and after a mild overclock to 4.0 GHz. it runs FSX quite nicely.Take some time to shop around and ask a LOT of questions and you will find you can get a really decent rig for the kind of money your looking to invest!Gary

You should also remember that Au prices are GST (sales tax) inclusive, so there's another 10% to take off.

Also, the Au market is considerably smaller than the US, so prices will typically be, (and from my experianceces are,) higher in Au than the US. But yes, I agree with all above. Shop arround and you will save.

Yes it would run it well, but you pay a large premium buying from a company like that, it's a lot cheaper to go to a computer shop, select the parts yourself and get them to build it for you. Besides, Jetline Systems is a US company so it would cost a fortune to ship a computer over here.

Please just take a look at Whirlpool to see what sort of system you should be looking at and the prices you should be paying. One of these (which are on the PC Suggestions wiki) is probably a good starting point:
