    Default F-Secure

    Hi All,

    F-secure runs about 15 processes and whilst gamebooster reduces some of my overall processes, is there an easy way to temporarily shut all these f-secure processes down to use FSX?

    Several google searches and their own forum did not come up with a solution.

    Closing the processes down in task manager won't always work and is such a pain to do anyway.

    Does anyone use F-secure and has come up with a solution or does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks, IAN

    Hi Ian,

    Can't you program Gamebooster to close those extra processes down? I know I have a few extra things that GB closes and then restarts when going back to Normal mode.

    Thanks,
    Thanks,

    Jim

    Thanks Jim,

    I've added the processes to the service list within gamebooster but they still won't close. It seems happy to close processes associatedwith dlls but not so happy about closing EXEs.

    I've tried adding lines like
    FSMA32.EXE=1
    FSMA32=1

    I wonder if gamebooster is actually looking for a path.

    I guess like any good security software it is programmed to stop anything interfering with its operation.

    It would be nice if I could find a way though.

    Cheers,IAN

    Sometimes the order in which process close down make a difference.
    Thanks,

    Jim

    Yeah, I twigged that. When I first installed it, I would close down the processes inthe order they appeared inthe task manager. Then, after a while, that technique stopped working.

    It was alwasy a bit of a chore though, closing about 15 processes one by one as a couple of them took a minute or two to close as well.

    Ah well...I'll jsut have to live with it I guess.

    Thanks for taking the trouble to reply though Jim. Your comments are always appreciated.
