Thread: bglcomp.exe

  1. Default bglcomp.exe

Since replacing my hard drive and reloading my files, my bglcomp.exe in my windsock folder as well as my move Langley folder will not produce a file to place in an active scenery folder. Hopefully someone can tell me what might be causing this problem.

You might need to install MSXML?

  3. Default bglcomp.exe

Thanks for the reply. That could be the problem. I clicked on the calclassics link but I couldn't find MSXML there. I googled it and there seems to be different versions of it. could you help me out on this?

    Try this:

    http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/d...displaylang=en

Basically BglComp needs the "parser" function in order to compile a valid BGL.

As I remember this need is explained at the very end of the Bglcomp SDK and is very easy to miss.

  5. Default bglcomp.exe

I downloaded the msxml3.msl but it will not install. I keep getting the blurb, "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package.

Make sure you Windows version is fully up to date - an older installation may not be compatible with msi files.

Make sure the file is suffixed msi - (you say msl ?!?)

If neither of these resolves it, do what it says on the box . . . contact the Vendor: http://support.microsoft.com/

The folder that you have "bglcomp.exe" in, make sure you have a file called "bglcomp.xsd" in the same folder
