    Default INS and ADEU

Does anyone have or know of a converter to convert the usual .pln flight plans into ADEU cards for the Delco INS?

Hi, Ant. A quick google for "civa converter" turned up this one: http://www.avsimrus.com/files.phtml?...d&id=10200&hl=

I used to use that one and am sure it will convert FS2002 and FS2004 flight plans, but I don't know about FSX. It's a little quirky and I wasn't overly pleased with the ADEU cards it created so I don't use it any more but you might find it useful. I personally have never been able to find another converter to go from FS Plan format to Civa 1.51 ADEU format.

If you happen to use Super Flight Planner you might want to try the SFP module I made to convert to the ADEU format. It's here in the FlightSim library. Search the library for "civa sfp" and you'll find it. It was designed with the SFP 3 SDK so might not work if you're using SFP 4, but might offer a way for you to create ADEU cards. Yes, it's listed in the FS2002 files section, but it goes from SFP 3 to CIVA 1.51 so doesn't care what version of FS you have.

Thanks, having a play with it now. Just can't get the ADEU to find my plan, should the plan be in the ADEU folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Civa\ADEU?

    Or somewhere else?

Yep, put the card files in the Civa\ADEU folder. Make sure the filenames for the cards have the extension ".AWC" -- that's what the ADEU reader will look for. If it's not reading the cards, then maybe that converter doesn't know how to convert FSX plans. Open the converted file with Notepad -- it's just a text file -- and see if it looks correct. Other than that, can't say why the cards wouldn't show up in the ADEU.

I reloaded the AC and got the ADEU to read it. I'll try a flight with it sometime soon this week when I've got time and see how it all goes.

    Thanks for your help

I made a flight with it and it seemed good. Having problems trying to make a card for the flight back. It keeps saying 'cannot create file'.

I guess this is one of the quirks.
