Thread: Screenshot Jaggies

  1. Default Screenshot Jaggies

    Hello;
    I have been taking screenshots with FSSCREEN and they all come out with jaggies. My video card is the ATI 9700 Pro and it seems there is no way to adjust any settings unless I am missing something. Most of the screenshots I see on Here are really nice. Any tricks would be appreaciated.

    "Search" is a great tool around the forums for answers. Here's one.

    1) Turn on anti aliasing - either on your graphics card on in FS itself. That will get rid of all those jagged edges.

    That was my problem no way to adjust anything in my graphics card which was strange. This is a dell computer with a ATI Radeon 9500 pro card. What I found out was they didnt install the ATI CAtalyst software. So I got it online and what a difference it makes when you can make some adjustments. When you said turn on antialiasing and I couldnt through my card I started to wonder. Maybe this will help someone else that is having the same problem.

    Thanks

    Stopped using ATI Cards a few years ago & switched to Nvidia(seems better for sims), trickier but more able to tweak, I'm much happier now. You can try(( ATI Tray Tools )), but unless you have a recent graphics card, at least in the last 2 years) then you need to upgrade. If I remember the 9700 seems outdated.

    Good to know, if you found a concept of tweaks, you should post it as the forums here are a great Google search & a knowledge base for the world....
