I bought UTX a couple months ago and I’m very happy with it. For years everybody talked about FSGenesis so I bought it. I have both installed. Now I have airports carved in the side of hills, rivers that go up the side of hills and houses and trees several hundred feet in the air floating around and runways 15 feet off the ground. I have the Nvidia GeForce 9400GT card and my guess that can’t be it. Does anybody have this problem and is there a fix or is there an order to install these two items. It is going to be a real pain to delete FSGenesis and or reinstall FSX.
    Thanks

    First things first...

    1) Make sure your Mesh resolution is at least set to 10m. I have mine set at 2m.

    2) Floating objects can also be a sign of 'used up' RAM after an extended flight, not necessarily a mesh issue.

    3) Make sure you have all the newer v2 files installed where availiable.'

    Yeah Robin

I have been using the Version 2 on Discs from Abacus and not one issue - with the earlier ones I have noticed some of those little off set landmarks, but not really a big deal to me.

You may consider ordering the USA Extreme Landscapes package from Abacus since those are more updated, but that's just a theory.

Stick with Justin at FSGenesis, he's having a tough time with the business because of the economic slowdown and could use a couple of extra bucks if you ordered some of the v2 discs from him. He is an asset to the community (whereas if Abacus ceased to exist I doubt many would even care given the disgusting quality of their addons) and deserves the support.

The anomalies you mention are the result of the higher mesh resolutions used by FSGenesis and the fact that Fsx portrays all airports being absolutely level. FSG V2 mostly corrects this, but V2 is currently only available for the US and parts of Hawaii and Alaska.

Thanks Bruce, I have been installing the V2 all morning. Later tonight I will fly to see how it is. You got to admit it is a little strange to fly under a house on your final approach. LOL
I'll take screen shots if it happens again.

FSGenesis is most likely the best!!

I never had problems with their products. I use GEX, UTX and FSG together.

I too, am having a problem. Several airports are setting on raised ground, automobiles going up & down steep slopes and etc. Unfortunate for me. I purchased USA and World Extreme Landscapes V2 from Abacus because it was such a good deal $22.92 w/shipping. I am suspecting that some of the files, perhaps many, are not updated and because I did not purchase from FsGenesis, I cannot get the updated files. I have emailed PC Aviator (where purchased) and also Abacus regarding any updated files but have not received a response from either. Anyone have any suggestions?

One thing I have noticed is that FSX now takes a while before it is ready from start.
