Thread: PSS Concorde

    Default PSS Concorde

    OK, I have just got my hands on PPS Concorde and a first glance last night said WOW. Then I looked at the panels in more detail and thought "OOPS this looks difficult"

    I have had a quick read through the manual and also downloaded the tutorial but this seem to be for the more experienced simmer.

    What I'm after is probably to be called an "idiot guide". Does anybody know of anything out there with simple do this, do that instructions on how to fly this beautiful aircraft ?

    I would like to get it off the ground and do a few flights before really digging into the manuals, panels and extremely confusing looking other bits around the cockpit.

    Hopefully somebody out there has had a similar experience with this and has found something that helps.

    The tutorial is as simple as it gets - make the effort and work through it. It's not nearly as complex as it looks once you go through a few times, although it will take a while the first time.

    As ubersu says, the tutorial file(s) that come with it are the easiest provided you try it with;
    1 NO AI traffic
    2 VFR - so you can set the Altitude to 65,000 feet, (so ATC doesn't tell you what altitude THEY want you to reach; you're flying the best airliner in the world - YOU tell THEM). This also allows the MAX CLIMB and MAX CRUISE to take full effect.
    Have a print out of the tutorial with you to follow; pause at any time you want.
    Eventually add AI Traffic and then go IFR. I did it in one go - but with several pauses to read the next vital stage. Good luck ;-)
