    Default Piper Archer Repaints

    G'Day all.
Ive been trying to repaint the Piper Archer using the Template from their website. I can write text on the sides of the plane. But it os back-to-front on one side and correct on the other. Can anyone help me with this?
    Thanks Guys.

I believe that the right side of the body is displayed in the correct orientation in the template, but the left side is mirrored (shows up backwards). That is, any text would have to be reversed. The tail sections are not mirrored so you can put text on them and they will display correctly.

To correct the backwards text, it would depend on the program with which you paint. I use Photoshop and just flip the text layer horizontally. In any effect, the idea is to add another layer, add the text and then flip it backwards. Make sure you are at least using Paint Shop Pro to work with these files. That way you can use, and add, layers.

Be forwarned, unlike the DF734, the Archer template has the rivets and seams on the base layer. Therefore, to color the body and not cover up those details, you will have to add another layer on top of the base, make the colorations there, and then apply a filter to that layer. I find that Multiply (in Photoshop) works well.

    Nice Paintjobs!!!
Any chance you would consider doing a United States registration with the yellow paint scheme? I've been looking for a good yellow archer, but I prefer the N #'s since the majority of my flying is in the USA.
