PREPARING FOR THE EVENT
Hamachi
Hamachi is a small utility for your computer that will greatly alleviate the port issues that plague the FSHost server. What it essentially does is fool your internet connection into thinking it's connected to a LAN. The result is the elimination of people getting blocked out of a server due to port issues, as well as smoother animations within FS. No configuration is required. The program is very small and requires only a few steps to get things set up. Hamachi is avaliable at this link: https://secure.logmein.com Then click on the LogMeIn Hamachi link at the bottom of the page.
Before the start of the event, someone will set up a Hamachi session, and the necessary information will be given over Teamspeak (IP 76.125.31.126:8768) to get connected. Once connections to Hamachi have been made, simply start up a multiplayer session as normal, leave the IP field blank, and hit "Search." FS should automatically locate the connection, at which point you can join the FS Session. FSX users will need to download and install FSHost Client available from http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fsh...ostclient.html
The Hamachi flight server and the Teamspeak server will be in operation all day on the day of the event.
We look forward to seeing you all in Le Touquet, France on Sunday July 19th.
