Thread: iFDG Help Needed

  1. Default iFDG Help Needed

Has anyone downloaded any of the iFDG planes etc. I am not sure what to do. I wanted a 747 for FSX and when I clicked the base packages there was a lot to choose from but I didn't know which one. I then went to the europe section and decided to download the virgin airways version. When I looked at the readme file it said it was for FS2004.

Can anyone enlighten me. Their website is a bit confusing with not a lot of description.

IFDG???? As far as I'm aware, they don't have the 747. Unless you're thinking of iFly.

Sounds like Project Opensky to me (Base Packages, Europe, etc.). The only Boeing iFDG ever did was a 767 to my knowledge. Posky's aircraft are primarily for FS9 but they work in FSX if you know how to install them. There are support articles detailing how to do this in the Knowledge Base forum. Here's a few:

How To Install Aircraft To Flight Sim X

Installing aircraft to FSX pt. 2

    Fsx: 3rd Party Compiled Packages

    Fsx Compatabilities

They don't take kindly to repeatedly answering questions that have already been covered in the support forum so do your searching and reading. Don't go blindly bouncing in there with a shiny new thread titled "How to install the iFDG 747 in FSX?" or they'll give you the boot. They're actually quite helpful if you have a legitimate question however.

    Thanks for the links!!!

    iFDG was never a problem.

It's straightforward, really. Decide what plane you want, then download said plane. Then follow the instructions to instal, being careful to note the changes you need to make to get it to run in FSX.
