Thread: Key assignments disappear (Saitek X52 Pro)

Default Key assignments disappear (Saitek X52 Pro)

I've been noticing that when I set key assignments, log off, and then get back on, they're gone, and I have to reassign everything, including the axes on the controller.

I use a Saitek X52 Pro+Pro Pedals, and use its configuration software to assign the hat switch to keys and such because FS9 only sees it as the hat switch, and I use TrackIR to look around, so I don't need it.

    Anyone else have this problem?

I have had this problem, however mine seems slightly different to yours in that mine is totally random. It can be fine for weeks but then I switch on and everything is gone.

The only way round it that I have found is to copy the joystick files, from the Saitek folder on my C drive, to the desktop. When my settings disappear I just copy the desktop files back into the Saitek folder and all my settings are back.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry, it's not just the Joystick files. It's even the FS9 configuration that gets cashiered...

    Hello,

It's even the FS9 configuration that gets cashiered...
In this case I suspect .. your FS9.CFG is rewritted as you return to the default mapping commands.
Why the FS9.CFG is rewritted is a other story .. but normally this is a result of a FS9.CFG erased ... IMHO
Checking the date and hour of the FS9.CFG file can give you a clue ....
Try also to make attribute of the file FS9.CFG as "read only" for experiment.

    Regards.
