Dakota in Vista 64

Hello All,

My apologies if this has already been covered....

I loved flying the Dakota...and indeed the Archer III in FS9..

I have now migrated to FSX including going over to Vista 64 Ultimate.

Now I am aware that the Dakota will not run under Vista 64 bit under normal circumstances but can with a workaround.

If I purchase the Reality XP 430/530 WAAS which WILL run under Vista 64 coupled with FS Panel Studio..

Am I right in saying that if I use the Swap option in FS Panel Studio that it will indeed do just that.... swap the existing Reality XP gauge with the new WAAS version thus making the Dakota available to fly in Vista 64.

I am particularly interested as it just Swaps the gauges over...I do not have to do anything else...Because i can't lol..

Other than that is has anybody got a modified panel.cfg so I can replace the entries??

You don't need to buy FS panel studio to do this, just swap the gauge names in the panel.cfg

It's very very easy.

It would be good if the Dreamfleet team could make a 'ready converted panel cfg' available for people to download,then it would be easy for customers to migrate from one operating system to another.

I think we can forget about any more stuff from these guys unfortunately. FSX upgrades for the Archer III that were promised almost 3 years ago would be a nice start

Actually I think the fact that they are still advertising the "FSX version for free" is a bit of a con, looks to me like they got lessons from "Vauchez" regarding promises and how to keep them.
