Default Cycle views ("S" button) - cutting out one or more views

Plenty of aircraft go without, and don't need, one or other of the two possible cockpit views (2D or VC). But, I find the default goldfish bowl (unobstructed view of the outside world) that remains in place of the missing view quite disconcerting when I'm trying to immerse myself in an imaginary cockpit. Is it possible to adjust the "cycle views" cycle for individual aircraft so that the cockpit-less window is completely skipped? I'm sure I've seen it done. In fact, I'd love to be able to toggle between just two views (external and VC for some of the best-planned a/c).

I map "Cycle views backwards" (Shift+S) to one button on my joystick and "Instrument panels on/off" (Shift+[) to another. From 2D panel view, the first click on the "Cycle views backwards" button gives you Spot view, click again for Tower view. You can return immediately to 2D from any view with the "Instrument panels on/off" button, click it again for a quick way to toggle the panel (like pressing "W" twice) on approach so you can see the runway.

Don't think there's any way to remove VC from the "cycle" so to speak. That's hard coded into some .dll somewhere and you'd need the source code, programming knowledge, and a compiler to do that I believe.

Thanks for the two-button suggestion, Jim, which goes much of the way. Also, I visited your site - I just hope somebody will give the franchise a new impetus. Thanks again!
