I was flying yesterday from Toronto to Teterboro, New Jersey (CYKZ-KTEB). As I approached the New York area, my sim stopped and a message appeared on the screen to the effect that a scenery file was missing, and that some buildings might not display properly. If I had a half a brain (which I do) I would have taken a note of the scenery file number (which I didn't).
As I flew around Manhattan, I noticed that the bridges didn't look right. Most of them looked bright white, especially the suspension wires.
I flew part of the route again, in a different plane (King Air instead of Skyhawk), but did not see that message again, and the bridges were still white.
I remembered that I had done a system restore a couple of weeks ago, and had backed up my old install on an external hard drive. I compared my new install scenery files with my old install, and no files are missing.
I have not seen that message again.
Is this a default condition in FS2002? Are the bridges supposed to look like this, or do I have a problem? If someone could check their Manhattan bridges for me and let me know, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
