I've posted this on the support forum, but nobody has answered, and I stupidly forgot to save the previous post. In a cold and dark start, how do I intialise the IRS to get rid of the HDG fail Message?
Thanks

Well, you posted your question in the FS9 v1.0 forum, not the FS9 v2.0 forum, so perhaps that's why no one answered...
The instructions for aligning the two IRS units is in the manual that no one ever reads...
CX20 Main Manual.pdf file, page 5:
There are two options to align the IRS Systems
1) Turn the Mode Select Unit (MSU) mode select switch to NAV.
2) ALIGN Light – ON.
3) Option 1: Load a default FS GPS system Flight Plan or Saved Flight Plan.
4) Option 2: Skip the simulated five minute wait time for IRS Alignment by clicking the Test Button on the face of unit. PFD/MFD will display normally.
