Anyone else have a darkened airspeed indicator while flying at night? Any solutions, sans Flight1 support?
Thanks!

Yup, everyone does...until they find the "magic switch". LOL
Look on your throttle quadrant. There is a set of switches. 2 actually work, the others are duds. The one on the left will add additional backlighting covering the left area of the panel. The one on the right turns on the VC lighting.
An additional lighting issue for me...is the VC lighting. They put a single VC light in the center of the cockpit that tends to "over illuminate" the center of the panel, and under certain circumstances (such as night-time), drowns out the lighting on the audio buttons.
So...what I did, was eliminate the center light completely, and add 2 VC lights, putting them off to the sides of the VC (one on the left, one on the right).
This actually is more realistic, because if you look at the ceiling, the VC lights are situated just that way. This also gives additional lighting to the panel (which can be turned on and off as needed).
Here's the "aircraft.cfg" section for this if you need it: (bottom 3 lines)
