DF727 Configuration Manager

Hi,
I recently purchased and downloaded the DF727 and after the download was completed the aircraft flew fine but the Configuration Manager gave me Error Message 429.
I worked with the Dream Team to resolve the issue but to no avail and deloaded the entire package.
After making sure all programs were closed and all anti virus and firewall programs were turned off, I reloaded the 727 again but with the same results on the Configuration Manager gave me the same error message again.
My operating system is Windows XP Home
Does any one have any suggestions.??

Thanks Michael, I tried that but was unable to get beond the download fix, since I am 75 years old and not at all familiar with computers it has been a trying time to fix that Configuration Manager, if possible could you walk me thru the process, I would appreciate any help you could give me

Can you confirm that after downloading the registry fix, that you have run the exe file?

Hi, Yes I downloaded the registry fix but due to my limited knowlage of computers I dont know how to run the EXE file.any chance you could tel me how?

OK, Find the exe file you downloaded and doubleclick it, this will bring up a window that you need to use to navigate to the FS9.exe file. By default this may be C\program files\microsoft games\fs9

Once you find the fs9.exe, click it once to highlight it and then click open at the bottom of the window........that should fix it.

Paul,
I just re-installed and cannot get it fixed. I ran the ".exe" file and I still get the 429 error. Any ideas. Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S.: I am using VISTA.

Hi Macs,

CD or download? If download, did you get a new installer i.e. the red airplane icon file?

Please also confirm what error you are seeing and what you are doing to cause it, what does work/doesn't work etc.

Also, as you're using Vista, did you install FS9 to a seperate HD, or did you install to the default location. If the former, have you made all the required changes to Vista with regard to permissions etc?

I re-installed from download and into the main HD (in vista path -->Program Files (x86)). I have VISTA 64 bit. I have run with a new installer file (little red airplane), as instructed, but I still get the 429 error. One thing I forgot to add was that the WX500 is not working either, and I have already re-installed the RealityXP version, but that should not matter anyway I guess, since it is a register version copy that comes with the 727. Anyway, I'll try de-nstalling and installing again, see what happens. Thanks again for your help,

Edit: I may have found the culprit. The installer says that the program "c:\Program Files (x86)...blah blah" has been succesfully added to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft..blah blah" path, where the actual registry has no such path, but has what would be what appears to be the correct path, but under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER..blah blah...". So the registry repair tool is adding to the worng registry path it seems. Any ideas how canI go about fixing this? Thanks in advance again for your help.
