    Default Graphics Card

I'm wondering, as somewhere I've found someone having similar issues with CTD when cycling views, when back into the cockpit, the screen freezes then CTD - that it's the graphics card that cannot cope when using complex add ons. Doesn't happen with 737 PIC or any other aircraft, so it may be the complexicity in the graphics for certain other add ons. Maybe?

This guy thinks it's graphics, could it be? He's running an Nvidia 7800 I think and mine is a 7900GS 256mb. I'm running a 2.4 Gb Intel Dual Core Duo with 3gb of ram, XP Pro, SP2, I think, might be SP3.

So if this is the case, I've been thinking of getting maybe the 260 GTX.

Is this the solution and is this the way to go?

Aviation is not inherently dangerous but it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessnes, incapacity or neglect.

I had troubles with some driver updates from MS update for AC'97 sound cards that caused those problems.

I also had problems for awhile with some drivers for my ATI graphics card. I had to update them to get them to work.

Some aircraft also require additional files to be installed to get them to work correctly. Typically those files go into the modules folder. There is one I remember that I had to move to my system or system32 folder so that FS9 and FSX aircraft could use it, but I cannot remember that file name. I think it was for sound, I am not sure. Someone out there may remember it. Typically the instructions for the aircraft will include information about that file. I ran a utility that had deleted that file in FS9 and as it detected a copy in FSX, which forced me to move it to the system/system32 folder.

    Hope this helps.

    Default Sound.dll

I thing the name of the file is 'sound.dll', but I am not sure.
