Thread: Graphics Problem

  1. Default Graphics Problem

Hi, i recently upgraded to a GTX295 card. Its working well a far a frame rates go (depite what ive heard other people say!) however when I hover over the (for example) auto pilot altitude button and it shows me my current setting it diappears when I click the button not allowing me to see what I am setting it to. The same happens with all other buttons. I didnt have this issue previously.

I have the most up to date drivers installed but no change.

Has anyone else had this issue? Its more of an annoyance than a problem but its soo much easier to have the text remain when I am changing the settings!

Yes - also now the graphics are jumpy! I have around 60fps but the graphics still jump around.

    Its starting to annoy me!

It might be an issue with the card, do you know what the others say?

Did you follow the driver installation procedures at the top of the hardware forum? Give those a try.

Also try deleting your FSX.cfg file and let the sim generate a new one (back up your current one first).

Thanks all - still not resolved but thanks anyway

When I initially changed my card from a 8800GTX to the GTX295 and updated drivers it worked perfect, since then I had to rebuild my PC and this is when the problems started.

    Default Rebuilt

You say you 'rebuilt' your PC? What did you do, exactly? New HardDrive? New operating system? New (heaven forbid) motherboard? You need to specify what you did so we can help. If not your problem may not go away. It's something (simple, perhaps) you did, as the drivers just don't 'go away' on their own.

Hi - sorry, just a software rebuild - I reinstalled Vista. Only hardware change was the card.

The MB im using is a Asus PT6 - if that matters?

Ok - I enabled the DirectX 10 preview and the jumpy graphics issue was resolved - not the help text but still its a start!
