    Exclamation activation problem.

    now, i installed fsx to a different computer instead of this laptop..for better expirience in the game of course! and i cant seem to activate it. it says the following "an error occurd while attempting to activate the product. the problem may be due to an incomplete installation of the application. Reinstalling the activation may resolve the problem. Otherwise, please contact product support for assistance." NOW, i reinstalled the WHOLE thing and still nothing.....idk wats the contact # in europe, since im in europe. i touched nothing in the installation files and only instaled it...anything i should know besides contacting them. plus, the registry i checked and it says PartMgr...its the deluxe version and i want 2 solve this problem soon....

    Maybe you installed to different computer, but HOW does Billy know this? Well when you activated it on the laptop, Billy took note (without you knowing it-that's how it works) of what components (brand, CPU, motherboard, video card, sound card, mouse, etc) you had and came up with a 'check sum' number for THAT rig.

    When you installed it to the other one, and tried to activate it, Billy compared the check sum and it did not MATCH-activation denied!! What you have to do is get on the phone (hopefull toll free) and get the tech to run a new check sum so everthing 'matches' and you're back in business. They don't want to prevent you from having your sim, they only want to control (via activation) that FSX resides where you say it does, and not on all your buddy's rigs. One FSX on one rig-that's the activation (EULA) premise. No use fighting it.

    Default wierd

    well not to deny. i installed my standard to so many computers and it didnt deny activation. but when it comes to deluxe it denys on my 2nd. install. ill give them a call. btw is disk 1 from deluxe the same as in standard. im thinking of putting in standard but ive lost its disk1..
